Valentine’s Day is right around the corner but don’t fret – we’ve got some affordable and easy ideas for you to do with your family, friends or that special someone!
Have a movie-date. Go the traditional route with a dinner and movie (preferably scary). Don’t want to go out? No problem. A low-key Valentine’s Day can be every bit as special as an expensive dinner and roses. The rule: Each of you gets to pick a flick and can’t veto the other’s choice.
Create a Scavenger Hunt. Write a series of riddles, notes, or memories with clues about your plans or present. Hide them in different places, such as on the bed, on the fridge and in their work or lunch bag. It’s a fun twist throughout the day to Valentine’s Day.
Visit another country. In your own city, that is. Hit up your local museum’s collection, or grab sushi or pad thai at a new ethnic cuisine! Have fun exploring a new part of the world without even leaving your backyard! PS. To help you with your cultural journey, we’re offering Moo Shu Pork to celebrate Chinese New Year for delivery on the week of Feb 8!.
Say Namaste! Take a yoga class with your friends, fam or significant other and learn new ways to twist and bend!
Get up and go outside. Make the most of cold weather activities: build a snowman, go skiing, or go sledding and have some fun outside! Wind down with some yummy hot chocolate afterwards to warm up.
And our favourite date activity? Book a reservation (at home)!
While cooking together might be something you do every day, there’s no reason it can’t be special for Valentine’s Day. Don’t forget to have fun! Just like Bridget Jones proved, you can absolutely dish up blue soup and still win your loved one’s heart, the main thing is to put your heart into it.
Next week for delivery, we’ve got a menu of date-approved dishes for a special night of Ooh-la-la!
