Chef Jason Rosso is the brilliant mind behind the delicious food here at Chef’s Plate. Rosso is a Toronto native who has spent most of his life in the kitchen. He received his culinary training at the Culinary Arts Program at Hunter College and then spent a year apprenticing and traveling in Japan, where he fine-tuned his culinary skills before moving back to Canada to share his delicious food with his hometown.
Not only does Chef Rosso whip up delicious creations in kitchens all over Canada, but he has also appeared on many of your favourite cooking TV shows. Some of his appearances include co-hosting on Food Network’s “Restaurant Makeover” and mentoring on Food Network’s “Recipe to Riches.” He was also featured as a judge on Top Chef Canada.
Chef Rosso has run some of the top restaurants in Canada and is currently the executive chef at a national restaurant brand. His culinary experience is vast, including Japanese, wine country cuisine and contemporary Canadian which he throws together with some French technique. Chef Rosso uses his blend of on the job experience and masterful culinary training to create delicious recipes, using the freshest ingredients that are simple to make in any home kitchen while delivering a delectable gourmet experience.
