What was your favourite meal as a kid?
Thai Green Curry – I grew up in a fairly small town, and when the first Thai restaurant opened up it was revolutionary! It really opened up my roster of ingredients and what ‘flavour’ meant to me.
Which food trend are you currently obsess with?
Healthy “elixirs” and super-charged beverages! Whether its a cacao-laced smoothie for extra energy or turmeric-chamomile tea to wind down, I love incorporating these feel-good drinks into my day.
What’s the best part about your job?
How it inspires me. Being out and about trying new foods in Toronto or when I travel overseas, I am always looking for ways to bring ideas back to the Chefs Plate kitchen. Working everyday with fun food-obsessed people is also pretty awesome!
After a day at work, I find I get pretty serious ‘Decision Fatigue’, meaning, I can’t fathom deciding what I should feed myself and my partner! The best part of having Chefs Plate for me is not having to think about bringing delicious food to the table, follow the directions and it just kind of happens 🙂
