What was your favourite meal as a kid?
My mom makes an amazing chicken curry that I’d ask for on my birthday. I’d often tell people when theirs wasn’t good enough, and offer to get the recipe for them.
Which food trend are you currently obsess with?
I’m always late to food trends—most of my knowledge comes from my teammates here! Of the ones I’ve heard, I’m definitely into the root-to-stem movement, especially when it comes to pickling. Have you tried pickling broccoli stems? No? You’re welcome.
What’s the best part about your job?
Definitely getting to share the creations that come out of the Chefs Plate kitchen with our chefs. I get to be the one to show them what’s available in the coming weeks, many times for the first time. There’s a bit of a ‘big reveal’ factor when we send a communication out, and a real excitement in knowing you get to help people get all set for their coming weeks by sharing our dishes.

I was a Chefs Plate fan long before I started working here, but only in recent weeks have started using family plan. My girlfriend and I joke that our entire lives are taken care of now that we can cook a great meal in the evening and pack it up half of it for the next day’s lunch. No more sad desk sandwich for me.
