Chocolate Bar Brownies
  • 1/2cup butter
  • 1/4cup cocoa powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1cup sugar
  • 1tsp vanilla
  • 1/2tsp salt
  • 3/4cup flour
  • 1/4tsp baking powder
  • 5 Mini Twix
  • 5 Mini Mars Bars
  • 5 Mini Snickers
  • 4 Mini M&M bags
  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Line an 8-by-8-inch baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the cocoa powder and set aside.
  3. Beat the eggs until light in colour. Add the sugar and vanilla and beat again. Add approx. ΒΌ cup of the melted chocolate into the eggs, stirring constantly.
  4. Add the rest of the melted chocolate and beat again. Sift together the flower, salt, and baking powder and slowly add to the egg mixture until just combined (don’t over-mix!)
  5. Pour half of the batter into the prepared pan.
  6. Place mini chocolate bars into the batter, and cover with remaining batter.
  7. Bake for about 24 to 25 minutes (or until done based on add-ins used). A toothpick inserted in the center (if you can find a bare patch to test) should come out clean, or with a few moist crumbs, but no batter. Allow bars to before slicing and serving. Bars will keep airtight at room temperature for up to 1 week, or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
