Cooking with kids ingrains in them an importance for the right kind of food to fuel their bodies. Cooking together provides a natural way to discuss nutrition and being able to see their favourite recipes come to life while learning about each ingredient is a great way for you to educate your kids. The more educated children are about food, the more likely they’ll accept new ingredients and try new nutritious ingredients!

Lasagna is everything that kids love – pasta, cheese and spaghetti sauce. This recipe in particular is easy and fast and requires easy-to-find ingredients. While parents can do all the prep work, kids will love layering all the delicious ingredients and watching the dish come together in front of their very eyes!

This version we found has all the creaminess that you’d expect but uses whole-wheat macaroni to increase the fiber.
