We can’t get enough of this sauce that’s got no-blending or even cooking required. Not only is this sauce easy but it involves only 6 ingredients that are easy to find in your grocery stores. Chimichurri, a wonderfully bright and fresh sauce, is the sauce we’re making today! Use this versatile sauce as a marinade, as a garnish or incorporate it fully into your recipe. If you’re grilling meat of any sort, we highly recommend spooning chimichurri over top.
Our twist on chimichurri muddles fresh mint, capers and jalapeno, garnished for an exotic twist on basa. Read on to find out how to make it!

- 3 sprigs Fresh Parsley
- 1 sprig Fresh Mint
- 1 Jalapeno Pepper
- 1⁄2 oz Capers
- 1⁄2 oz Red Wine Vinegar
- 1⁄2 oz Sesame Oil
- Prepare your ingredients
Finely mince the parsley, mint leaves and capers. Remove the stem and seeds from the jalapeno pepper. Mince the jalapeno.
- Mix the chimichurri sauce
In a small bowl, add the parsley leaves and stems, mint, capers, red wine vinegar and jalapeno pepper to taste. Add 1 tbsp of olive and mash well to combine.
- Serve and enjoy!
We used the above chimichurri sauce to top our basa. We finished off the dish with delicious red onion rings and roasted potatoes – yum!
