It’s that time of year again.
You went out and bought candy for the 500 Trick-or-Treaters expected, and only 20 kids came by.
What do you do with all that extra candy? After eating so much you feel sick, you need to get rid of the rest. Best thing to do is bake the candy into brownies and blondies and make your coworkers eat them!
We started with Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars, which are really easy to make – no mixer required, oven ready in 5 minutes.
All you need is a stick of butter, an egg, 1 cup each of light brown sugar and flour, and a tablespoon of Vanilla. And of course, your leftover candy!
We decided to add chopped up Mini Snickers and Mars Bars to the batter, with M&M’s sprinkled over top.
These bars are totally customizable, you can use whatever candy you’d like. Check out the full recipe below.
The next recipe we made was Brownies stuffed with Candy Bars – fairly similar to the Cookie Bars, but with a chocolatey twist.
Instead of cutting up the chocolate bars, we poured half the brownie batter into the prepared pan, placed the mini Snickers, Twix and Mars Bars on top then covered with the remaining batter.
Similar to the Cookie Bars, we topped the finished Brownie with some M&Ms, for added colour and deliciousness.
Whether you make these from scratch or use a box mix, the chocolate bars add a decadent, chewy touch that is irresistible!
